Special emphasis is placed on improving the content and quality of joint fair events, whereby the Secretariat, within its competences, provides logistical support and contributes to the coordinated development of fair events.

Slobodan Cvetković, Director General of the Novi Sad Fair, pointed out that the aim of today's signing is to improve the long-standing existing cooperation at the level of the two countries and their line institutions, and that there is a serious exchange in the economic, tourist and cultural spheres, as well as within other business segments. "This is an incentive for all businessmen, especially for tourism workers, to encourage each other and improve cooperation in the coming period. It is worth noting that more than a million people from Serbia come to Greece for their holidays. It is in Serbia's interest to present its potentials here, Cvetkovic said.

The Provincial Secretary for Economy and Tourism, Nenad Ivanisevic, pointed out that through this cooperation, new conditions are created for the economy of the AP of Vojvodina, and that the tourism sector and tourism workers get even better access to all events at the fair in Thessaloniki. He expressed his gratitude to the Novi Sad Fair, as well as to the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Thessaloniki, for their wholehearted support in the implementation of the initiative to sign this Memorandum, and to further connect and network the relevant institutions and fairs.

"This is a joint action and it is the opening of a common door for businessmen from the territory of the AP Vojvodina," Ivanisevic added.

The signing of the Memorandum was also attended by Jelena Vujić Obradović, Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in Thessaloniki, who provided full support to the improvement of cooperation between the institutions of the two countries and the strengthening of fair logistics at the level of two cities - Novi Sad and Thessaloniki.
