Congress Center "Master" of the Novi Sad Fair

 

On November 5 and 6, the "Master" Congress Center of the Novi Sad Fair will host exhibitors, panelists, experts, and the general public at the 14th International Days of Energy and Investments, the largest forum for foreign and domestic projects, where the most current topics from these fields will be discussed.

The goal of the forum is to raise awareness among citizens while also presenting existing programs and initiatives. Those interested will be allowed to receive numerous pieces of information about energy efficiency and sustainable energy, as well as ways to use energy more rationally in households, energy-efficient technologies, methods for preparing and executing projects, and available financing mechanisms.

  

The main goals of Energy Day are to:

• encourage business contacts and cooperation of all relevant actors in the field of energy and the local development sector in Serbia and the Region
• enable potential investors to get acquainted with investment projects and stimulate greater investment
• presentations of advanced technologies and forms of financing energy projects
• contribute to the activation of renewable energy sources and the environmentally conscious construction of buildings
• position the topic of climate change in the public's mind as one of the most important issues today

INTERNATIONAL ENERGY DAYS IN 2024

The International Days of Energy and Investments in 2024 were held at the Novi Sad Fair on November 6 and 7. The focus was on key challenges and innovative solutions in the field of energy efficiency and sustainable development in buildings.

The program included four main panels: "Energy renovation of residential buildings", "Smart cities and green technologies", "Digitalization and energy efficiency", and "Energy efficiency and gender equality and social inclusion". The discussions were moderated by Vladimir Đorđević, and in a conversation with more than 15 panelists, a common conclusion was reached that the sector of energy efficiency and renewable sources in buildings is ripe for concretizing the next steps. In addition to the main panel discussion, visitors had the opportunity to follow and actively participate in a parallel discussion led by Ružica Vranjković. That discussion, in a way, represented a review from the perspective of citizens and their needs on what was discussed at the main panel.

 

The last panel discussion was devoted to the connection between energy efficiency and gender equality, and social inclusion. On it, recognition was given to the ladies who, through cooperation with the "Bolja energija" project, made a special contribution to these important topics. USAID's "Better Energy" project decided to award certificates of appreciation to Maja Vukadinović (Ministry of Mining and Energy), Jelena Krajinović (SZ Maršala Tita 252 from Kula), Tamara Grujić (Working action with Tamara), Ivana Kovačević (Serbian Chamber of Commerce), and Suzana Musicić (Kula Municipality).

 

During the International Energy and Investment Days, a meeting was held with organizers of professional building management, building managers, and tenants. The participants agreed in their assessment that citizens should be better educated about the importance of energy efficiency measures and ways of securing the financing of such projects.

Visitors had the opportunity to follow presentations on specific topics such as the concept of "customer-producer" (heat and electricity) in heating plants, which was presented by the "Better Energy" project, fire protection of the buildings of the Mineral Wool Association of Serbia (MIVUS) and behavioral economics, which was presented to the audience by Dr. Veivei Taš from USAID.

Both days of the forum conclude that advanced technologies and well-planned projects can bring significant benefits to communities and individuals. Concrete examples from Novi Sad and Kula have shown how a strategic approach and commitment already bring tangible results today, which makes digitization and green technologies a necessary step towards a sustainable future.

The meetings were followed by the exhibition part of the manifestation, where companies and institutions presented themselves.

 

The Partner of the International Energy and Investment Days was the "Better Energy" project of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), which participated in the preparation of the congress segment.

The Partner city of the International Days of Energy and Investments is the City of Novi Sad, and the Novi Sad Fair organizes the event with the support of the Provincial Secretariat for Energy, Construction, and Transport.
