Ceremonial opening of the third Traffic Fair at the Novi Sad Fair

The Traffic Fair, an event dedicated to improving safety and efficiency in traffic, was officially opened at the "Master" Congress Center at the Novi Sad Fair today. The fair will last today and tomorrow, October 21, and gathers experts, institutions and organizations dealing with the development and improvement of traffic culture and infrastructure.

Provincial Secretary for Energy, Construction and Transport Bojan Vranjković, during the ceremonial opening, emphasized the importance of continuous work on improving the traffic safety system and infrastructure.
- Statistics and figures are inexorable. They show that we have achieved a lot, but that we still have a lot of work to do. This is precisely why the Provincial Government and the Secretariat for Energy, Construction and Transport are constantly working to strengthen the security system - said Vranjković.
He added that the preparation of the Traffic Safety Strategy for the period 2026-2030 is underway. year, as well as three studies that include safety analysis at road crossings, application of the vision "zero child casualties in traffic" and risk mapping on roads in AP Vojvodina.
- We place special emphasis on the protection of the youngest road users. So far, the Secretariat has provided almost 600 school zones and created 345 traffic projects - emphasized Vranjković.

At the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Boris Dumnić, dean of the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, prof. Dr. Miroslav Kostadinović, Dean of the Faculty of Traffic in Doboj, Branko Stamatović, Director of the Agency for Traffic Safety, Zlatko Belencan, Assistant Chief of the Traffic Police Administration, Aleksandar Bulajić, Member of the City Council for Traffic and Roads, and Slobodan Cvetković, General Director of the Novi Sad Fair.

The program of the Fair is adapted to all ages - the youngest will be introduced to the importance of traffic safety through a game, training ground, traffic signs and educational shows.

During the event, experts from the field of traffic, safety and transportation will exchange experiences, present new solutions and initiatives, and jointly contribute to the creation of a safer traffic environment.


The traffic fair is organized by the Novi Sad Fair and the Center for Traffic Safety, with the support of the Provincial Secretariat for Energy, Construction and Traffic and the City Administration for Traffic and Roads, as well as numerous institutions and organizations dealing with the improvement of traffic culture and infrastructure.
