Jubilee of "Lorist" and the Fair of Tourism
6.6.2012.
The International Fairs of Hunting, Fishing and Sport – LORIST and the Fair of Tourism are celebrating a jubilee this year – 45 years since they were first held.
The First Fair of Hunting and Fishing was organised in 1967 and the International Exhibition of Hunting and Fishing Equipment featured exhibits from 44 countries. The event was recognised by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) in 1978.
Today, "Lorist" is one of the most reputable events in the field of hunting, fishing and sport in the region, providing supreme experience to professional and amateur hunters and fishermen. Tourism used to be integral part of the event which has developed into a separate exhibition over the years and it is also celebrating its 45th anniversary this year, as an important venue for promotion of national and regional tourism. The Fairs "Lorist" are this year held between 25th and 30th September, while the Fair of Tourism is two days shorter and lasts between 27th and 30th September, which is also the International Day of Tourism.
