The jubilee,80th International Agricultural Fair ended successfully. The exhibitors presented themselves in the open area which was per 6,7 percent larger than the last year, while the area of exhibition halls was for 1.350 square meters bigger than the last year, said the General Director of the Novi Sad Fair, Mr Dragan Lukač, Ph. D.,adding that the box offices sold 73.121 tickets, which is per 11 percent more than the last year.
This year the Novi Sad Fair marks two important anniversaries-the nine decades of existance and the 80th birthday of the International Agricultural Fair, said Mr Dragan Lukač, Ph. D., at the ceremony at which the higest awards were given for the quality of products.
The production and distribution of safe and healthy food is gaining priority in the world and it is given more more attention from the consumer’s perspective and from the perspective of those who offer the food products on store shelves.
That the agricultural and food products from Serbia could be exported to the EU, must be met very strict conditions,which apply to these markets, and the crucial is the security and safety of food, was heard at yesterday’s meeting, organized by Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands and the Ministry of Agriculture of Serbia.
