19.4.2012.
On the eve of the 79th International Agricultural Fair, members of the Business Association of Importers and Exporters of Agricultural Mechanisation organised a presentation of their activities, offer and novelties today at the Novi Sad Fair.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Novi Sad Fair, Goran Vasić, said apart from an opportunity to see the novelties in the field of agricultural mechanisation at the Agricultural Fair, already presented at the Hanover Fair and other similar events, the Novi Sad Fair will also be a venue for education and socially-responsible business conduct.

Attractive presentations, novelties and special terms and conditions for purchase during the event have all been announced by the members of the Business Association of Importers and Exporters of Agricultural Mechanisation.

The chair of the Association, Đorđe Mišković, announced that the members of the Association will organise presentations on 14,000 square meters, presenting 150 leading international brands of power machines, harvesting machines, as well as accessories for land cultivation.

- Most members announced novelties, special discounts of between 5 and 10%, as well as extended warranty periods, said Mišković. He emphasised that a CD would be distributed to operators of agricultural machines, containing guidelines for improving the safety of agricultural machines in traffic. The disc contains traffic regulations, as well illustrations, which urge the operators to adhere strictly to the traffic regulations.

The director of "Agropanonka MTZ Finke", Dragoljub Švonja, said that his company was celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and that they had been participating in the Fair for the past 16 years. For the past 13 years they have also been the sponsor of the raffle for the visitors at the Novi Sad Fair.

- Our presentation will be important since it features presentation of the Belarus economy in the central part of the fairground. We are also going to improve the offer in comparison to previous years, and one of the main attractions will be the new "Mahindra" tractor, commissioned by the Indian government and designed to further decrease fuel consumption. It will cost around 9,000 EUR and in light-regime it will consume less than 1.2 l of oil per hour.

A protocol signed today between the Novi Sad Fair and the Agency for Traffic Safety of the Republic of Serbia envisages activities conducted by the Agency at the International Agricultural Fair, held between 12th 18th May, and the Car Show, held between 10th and 14th October. The Agency director, Stojadin Jovanović, expressed his delighted with the fact that the cooperation had been extended and the fact that the protocol created new opportunities for cooperation between the two institutions, since the Agency had a plan to conduct education and campaigns aimed at raising awareness about the safety in traffic.

- It is our aim to draw attention to the most common causes of traffic accidents, such as speeding, driving under influence, illegal overtaking, as well as to the protection of the most vulnerable categories of participants in traffic, such as tractor drivers, concluded Jovanović.
