76th International Agricultural Fair

The forthcoming International Agricultural Fair will remain the leader among agribusiness related events in southeast Europe in terms of the activities, business results and offer, with participants coming from Serbia and 60 other countries.

The International Agricultural Fair is gathering participants from Serbia, the neighboring countries, the European Union, Asia and America. Among them, there are 30% of foreign exhibitors, 30% of those offering agricultural mechanisation and equipment and 10% presenting the husbandry production in Serbia.

Particularly important are the presentations of national companies, offering high quality products of food industry, agricultural mechanisation, husbandry and other related fields.

Special attention will be paid to establish links between scientific and economic institutions with entrepreneurs and farmers, as well as experts from Serbia and abroad who have no doubt that in the times of severe economic crisis economy and agriculture are developed based on know-how and strategic long-term goals of industrial development.

The quality of the International Agricultural Fair is confirmed by the interest among foreign exhibitors who make up for almost one third of all exhibitors. Greatly important is also the cooperation between entrepreneurs from Serbia and representatives of European and other institutions who take part in the Fair.

This year’s event will see direct presentations of companies from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro, the Republic of Srpska, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Turkey...
Many foreign companies have opted for collective presentations in a form of so-called national exhibitions, but there will also be numerous companies offering their own specialised exhibitions.

Bearing in mind the much talked-about economic crisis that has affected many producers, every little help counts. That is why the aid from the Republic of Serbia and the Province of Vojvodina is of great importance.
The presence of authorities, ministries and secretariats at the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad should provide opportunities for direct contact with farmers and visitors, enabling them to obtain correct information on the modes of financing, co-financing and other benefits provided by various funds or information on how to solve many problems currently present in the field of agriculture.
The 76th International Agricultural Fair will see farmers making direct contact with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water-management and Forestry, the Provincial Secretariat of Agriculture, Forestry and Water-management and the Provincial Secretariat of Economy.
Various chambers of commerce, such as the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Valjevo and chambers from other regions have also recognised the importance of presentations at the event.
Special loan arrangements will be offered by the banks taking part in the International Agricultural Fair and special deals will also be offered by "Dunav" Insurance Company – the main sponsor of the event.

The International Agricultural Fair will once again be marked by cooperatives. In cooperation with the Cooperatives Association of Vojvodina, the Novi Sad Fair is organising for the third time the "Hall of Cooperatives". Hall 6 will this year gather cooperatives from Sombor, Subotica, Inđija, Bečej, Smederevo, Smederevska Palanka, Žabalj, Zrenjanin, Futog and other places from Serbia, as well as their counterparts from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia and the Umbria region from Italy.
The aim of the project is to establish stronger connections and collective presentations in on the agricultural market, as well as to look for the ways for rural areas to survive and develop.

Agricultural Fair marked by novelties

The International Agricultural Fair will be marked by novelties in the field of agricultural mechanisation, produced by the most renowned international manufacturers.
Agricultural machines, equipment and spare parts cover 30% of all the exhibits. The list of exhibits in these categories includes tractors, harvesters, new generation tractors with rubber tracks, mini-loaders, trimming machines for vineyards and machines for vineyard cutting, accessories, spare parts and equipment. The Novi Sad Fair is organising the traditional product quality appraisal. This year the expert committees will have assessed 4,000 products in 30 commodity groups, as well as 5,000 live exhibits. The product quality appraisal started on 10th February and will be finished on 10th May.
The best producers will be awarded the top recognition of the Novi Sad Fair – the Great Champion Cup and the Novi Sad Fair Cup. Other recognition include charters, certificates, diplomas and medals – Great Gold, Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Acting upon the exhibitors’ requests, the Novi Sad Fair has introduced the "Best in Agribusiness" Award for the best foreign company. The companies from abroad can compete for this prestigious recognition in all categories as companies and individuals from Serbia.
The Novi Sad Fair and the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina are also awarding the "Good Design" recognition.

The International Agricultural Fair will also be marked by the Livestock Exhibition, the largest of its kind in the region, the Novi Sad Open Show-jumping Tournament – the jubilee 50th May Equestrian Tournament, horse-team races and parade, as well as the "Novi Sad Equestrian League" – traditional show-jumping competition.
The "Master" Congress Centre will host numerous scientific and professional meetings, presentations and promotions.
Apart from many activities and supporting events already announced for the Agricultural Fair, such as new product presentations, raffles and entertainment programme, the exhibitors are also bound to organise additional events that will attract the visitors.
Those who purchase a ticket to the event can take part in the biggest raffle organised by the Novi Sad Fair so far. There will be 76 prizes, including two tractors, spa and mountain resort breaks, food products...

Bearing in mind the overall economic situation, the Novi Sad Fair has decided not to change the price of tickets for the International Agricultural Fair from two years ago.
