1.3.2011.
Ines Peruško Rihtar of Zagreb and Vesna Konc Marjanović of Valjevo won first place at the second European Facebook Poetry Festival organized by the Cultural Center of Banat and the Novi Sad Fair, and held 26-27 February during the 17th International Book Fair.

Jelena M. Ćirić of Prague, Maja Korolija of Stara Pazova, and Mitko Gogov of Paris won second place. First-place winners won free printing of their books, while second-place winners won electronic editions of their books.  Gathered together through Facebook, the worldwide social networking site, 255 poets from 18 countries (the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Russia, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Slovenia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Canada, and the United States) took part in the festival.

The festival was held at center stage of the "Master" Hall of the Novi Sad Fair, where over 100 poets (from Serbia, Croatia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Montenegro, and Iraq) recited their poems.  Poets unable to attend in person could participate by publishing their poems on the Cultural Center of Banat’s festival-dedicated profile page.  The profile was projected at the stand of the Banat Cultural Center using a video beam.  Photographs of the participants were also placed on the profile page, and the festival was broadcast live via webcam at the following address: www.bkc.devbin.org while the festival was underway. The same address also has recordings shown live during the festival.
