The representatives of the municipality of Bela Crkva have prepared well for the presentation at the 2nd International Fair of Investment “Investexpo". They stressed the promotion of the project of Danube marina construction for small and medium vessels.
According to Ms Zdenka Bogosavljević, the manager of the Tourist Organisation of Bela Crkva, European funds are extremely interested in projects connected to the Danube and the tourist capacities of Bela Crkva have long been known.
"The Urbanism Office of Vojvodina" has made a plan of General Regulation of the Complex of Bela Crkva Lakes with many facilities to be built. An area of 30 hectares will comprise beaches, hotels, apartments, fun and green parks, traffic infrastructure and other facilities. At the same time the locality "Labudovo okno" on the Danube the plan is to build facilities for hunting, fishing, nautical, recreational, sports and eco-tourism.
One of the key ideas is the construction of a marina on the Danube, for which the municipality of Bela Crkva would offer complete logistic support. The area designated for the marina construction, the land and the water area, make about 12 hectares. The position is bordered with the left bank of the Danube and the left bank of the canal DTD, and from the confluence of the Nera, that is the state border with Romania is 1.5 kilometres away. In the vicinity of the marina there are significant tourist facilities offered to the users of the marina. The marina would be one of the largest defended marinas on the Danube, in the zone of the settlement and road infrastructure.
In the light of bonding with Europe and the projects of inter-regional cooperation, the European Union pays special attention to the micro-regions of Veliko Gradište-Bela Crkva in Serbia and Oravica-Moldava in Romania, which would be in the vicinity of the planned marina.
